Patricia Hurley

Patty Hurley joined the Office of the General Counsel in November 2016 and serves as Board Secretary and Assistant General Counsel, focusing on university governance and planned giving.

Prior to joining Northeastern, Patty was a Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Fidelity Investments, where she worked in various legal roles for 21 years. Prior to Fidelity, she was an associate and partner at the law firm of Warner & Stackpole, where she specialized in Trusts & Estates.

Patty received her B.A. in history from Macalester College and her J.D. from Harvard Law School. Prior to attending Macalester, Patty pursued a career as a modern dancer and calligrapher. Patty has been a member of the Board of Trustees of Macalester College since 2007 and she also serves as a Director of the nonprofit Empower Success Corps (f/k/a Executive Service Corps of New England), which harnesses the services of over 150 volunteer professionals for consulting projects for other New England nonprofits.
